Paddington Bear

Created by author Michael Bond and original illustrator Peggy Fortnum over fifty years ago, Paddington, the accident-prone bear from deepest, darkest Peru, is beloved by children and adults alike. Well-known for his preference of marmalade sandwiches and good intentions, which somehow always result in chaos, the cute bear is never seen without his blue duffel coat and red floppy hat, which is where he hides his marmalade sandwiches. Paddington books have been translated into 30 languages and sold more than 30 million copies worldwide. Many remember the television series which was a highlight of children’s hour on British TV, and the much-loved fictional character is now the star of three films.
