Ken Dale started as an apprentice blacksmith at the age of 17, at the time we shoed horses and the whole business was workshop, everything was welded in the fire, from then they got a welder, The shop was taken over by Sam Dale’s son, Kenneth, in 1961 and continued with the traditions that have now become part of the fabric of Holmes Chapel life. During this time, under the guidance of Ken, the business flourished and grew to employ many people full time in the workshop, including apprentices.
Under the guidance a third generation of Dales - Sue - since the early 90's, the business continued to go from strength to strength and has added many product lines, including School Uniform, Gas, Club wear, work wear and much more!
Dales is now run by a fourth generation of Dales - Joe Maddock - There have been a lot of changes and updates made under Joe's leadership so far, and many more exciting things are planned for the future!
Dales is centred in the heart of the village with easy access and a large, free customer car park to the rear. Dales has friendly and helpful staff, who ensure that all requirements are met in a speedy and efficient manner. Why not pop in and see what all the fuss is about?
