Join me,  Kerry,  for this full day of learning and creativity.  I'll show you how to create this incredible cake topper, from start to finish. You'll learn how to model and shape each animal character, detail and cover the boat and then put everything together. 

Modelling skills are something that can be developed and added too, throughout your cake journey,  with time and practice. This workshop is designed to get you comfortably started on the path. 

We will be using specialist modelling paste, to create the animals. These are designed to give better stability and have pliable qualities to help give the best finished results. Although we'll be using edible pastes,  cake toppers are works of art that, as long as stored correctly,  will last for many years, like any piece of artwork. My cake toppers are never made or sold as edible, due to internal structures and wires, that help support the pastes.

 Modelling skills are also transferable to other mediums,  so you're new found skills won't just limit you to edible pastes. 

All materials will be provided and use of tools.  The main boat shape will be made from a polystyrene base block.
