Sam Dale & Son Ltd has been a long established family business, providing a vital service for the local community for 85 years. Founded by Sam Dale in 1927 as a Smithy, using the expert knowledge that had been passed down through the generations of Dale blacksmiths dating back to the 1700’s, the shop continued to flourish offering many of the local school leavers seeking a career apprenticeship opportunities.
The shop was taken over by Sam Dale’s son, Kenneth, in 1961 and continued the traditions that had now become part of the fabric of Holmes Chapel life. Whilst many of the smithy services can no longer be offered, Sam Dale & Son Ltd still maintains the principles that were instilled from the opening day offering a vast knowledge and helpful advice on a wide variety of stock.
Now under the guidance of the third generation of Dales, Susan, the business continues to go from strength to strength. Dale’s is centred in the heart of the village with easy access and a large car park, at the rear, and with friendly and helpful staff ensuring that all requirements are met in a speedy and efficient manner.
